All week the staff at the ward 2 blog will be posting our top ten blog entries as determined by our editors.
Although we tried to focus on Ward 2 specific topics, some of the issues have a community wide interest.
#4 Trans Canada Trail. In an effort to provide linkage between Riverside Park and Downtown and to address public safety concerns, staff presented a plan to upgrade the trail along the GJR line and the Speed River.
Nearby residents raised concerns about the trail alignment, privacy and suitability of the proposed trail.
Staff, residents and Ward 2 Councillors formed a public liason committee to further discuss these and other issues. Construction is scheduled to start in 2010.
