GUELPH GEARS UP FOR GOLD!!!

“Bike City, Your City!”

Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation, in conjunction with The Resilience Festival and Transition Guelph, is pleased to sponsor the film screening of “Bike City Great City.” on March 12 , at 7pm at Planet Bean on Wyndham Street.

Synopsis
David Chernushenko
, a city councillor in Ottawa, Ontario, is determined to make his hometown a better city for cycling. David wants Ottawa — and every American and Canadian city — to strive for Gold, and he’s going to take us on a ride to find out how it can be done. He’ll show us how European cities have set the gold standard for cycling and quality of life, and look at what some North American cities are doing right.

After the film:
There will be a panel discussion with Jennifer Juste, Guelph’s Transportation Demand Manager, Christine Allum from CAA, Yvette Tendick from GCAT. We also invite you to engage with us in how Guelph too, can be recognized with a gold rating in cycling and quality of life. With our current rating of Bronze, we have a ways to go. Lets ride this dream together.
Awesome bike related prizes!!
