2014 Conservation Calendar arrives November 26

The City’s 2014 Conservation Calendar will be delivered to Guelph homes with the Guelph Tribune on Tuesday, November 26. The Conservation Calendar includes the 2014 curbside garbage collection schedule for bags and carts, seasonal program and event information, and practical tips to help reduce waste, and to conserve energy and water—actions that will save residents time and money. Celebrate John Galt Day with free entertainment in the park

Residents and visitors are invited to attend the City of Guelph’s third annual John Galt Day celebrations on Monday, August 3 at John Galt Park. Starting at 12 p.m., organized activities include a flag raising ceremony; children’s entertainer, Doug Barr; musical entertainment led by local Keith Thompson; a history lesson about how the city got its name; canoe races; refreshments; games and crafts. The event ends at 4 p.m.

Tea and Tales in the Garden

Storytelling will resume on Friday, July 3, 2009, and will continue throughout the summer every Friday. Come out and be entertained by members of the Guelph Guild of Storytellers and their special guests. New start time: 10:30 a.m. There are some chairs, bring your own if you can.
