Council Finally Comes to It's Senses

Resident’s comments.

Your last ditched efforts to save that “piece of junk” called the Wilson
farm house have failed. It is mind boggling to see how much time, energy, money, and political capital has been wasted on this mess over the years, when there were so many more pressing issues in our city to be addressed by council. Your tactics of stalling, study, and a “wait and see” attitude were embarrassing to say the least. Councillors of your stripe who danced to the tune of a non elected special interest group such as Heritage Guelph should be ashamed. People in our ward will not forget your abandonment of their wishes, needs, and concerns come this next election. You told everyone in this process that you would never support severe and selling our parkland, yet you still voted to do that, or have taxpayers guarantee a huge loan to save what amounts to two or three window frames on a pile of stones. How do you explain telling such untruths? Finally a vote by council for common sense, and the wishes of the taxpayers in that neighbourhood. I’ll check this evening to see if there are two moons in the sky.   RA
