A resident comments on recent activity by Winter Control Staff.
As a citizen of Guelph, I would like to extend to you (Winter Control Staff), and those specifically handling the management of snow clearance, and the person operating the grader that cleared the snow from the Buckthorn Crescent today at 9:30 AM my sincerest appreciation for the efficiency/timelinese of snow plowing in this neighbourhood. It was particularly important to clear this snow early given the forecast for cold temperatures soon that would have turned to wet snow into a dangerous slick, bumpy mass. This excellent performance was also observed during the last, more severe storm, although given the challenges then, was delayed until the evening .
Having often criticized decisions regarding what I consider imprudent expenditures for questionable services, I think it only fair that such criticism is balanced by thanks for a job well done for this important service. BB
