A resident’s perspective.
On aug 5th Guelph Planning board committee approved the redesign for the downtown. Did they realize they voted to do away with the fountain at St Georges square. I think they rubber stamped a 40 page plan without really looking at it. On aug 25th this plan goes before council and I urge Council to choose option 1 which keeps the fountain and the T-intersection at St Georges square. This wasn’t even discussed at the meeting. The planners were given basically a blank cheque and carte blanche approval to do what they want. SB
