Tea And Tales at the Enabling Garden in Riverside Park

There’s a great event that has been happening every Friday morning right here in Ward 2 at Riverside Park! The Storytelling Guild, led by Brian Holstein, has been presenting great local storytellers and singers all summer, in a beautiful setting by the garden and river. I had the pleasure of being a guest a couple of weeks ago. It’s a wonderful way to spend a morning in Twoville!

This coming Friday, July 31, promises to be another great morning of stories.Jan Sherman is an Anishnaabe Metis woman, mother, culture keeper, educator, and storyteller. Jan has been gathering stories since childhood, and sharing them is one of her greatest pleasures. Jan has been blessed to travel to Victoria, B.C., California, Kauai, and Australia to share.
And on Friday she will share her tales with you! Bring a lawn chair if you can, and also a mug for iced tea, You may want to arrive early for a good spot. Each week we have had very large crowds.
We start the hour-long performance promptly at 10:30 am. There is no admission fee, but any donations to the Enabling Garden is appreciated.
