The Urban Forest Management Plan (UFMP) is a 20-year strategy with the goal to ensure the health and sustainability of Guelph’s urban forest canopy as the city continues to grow.
We’re evaluating the work we’ve done since 2013 to achieve the 22 recommendations set out in the UFMP. This helps us prioritize and plan for the next phase of work between 2020 and 2023. We’ll repeat that process until the plan wraps up its work in 2032, but its impacts will be felt for decades after its completion.
