Downtown Guelph Black History Month Event

From the Downtown Guelph Business Association.

On Wednesday, February 19th, between 11:00 -1:00 you are invited to a phenomenal Downtown Guelph Black History Month Event at Old Quebec Street Shoppes that you will not want to miss.

Featuring:
·Paul Harpley who designed the African Savanna at the Toronto Zoo and other staff from the Toronto Zoo.

·African Art Exhibits by exceptionally talented people.

·A lot of colorful information displays about the African culture and the people of Africa.

·A Kente Cloth display with many beautiful designs from Ghana and Wooden African Art that is from the Akan/Canadian Cultural Museum.

Please bring families and friends … there will be something for everyone.

Students from Rickson Ridge PS grade 4/5 and grade 8 students will be in attendance (120 of them confirmed so far).

People from the community, University of Guelph Professors who have traveled to Ghana and other parts of Africa are also confirmed to attend.
