Staff memo.
Please be advised that staff in Public Works are monitoring Flood Warnings and Watches being issued by the Grand River Conservation Authority. Media is reporting flooding in the West Montrose area of the Grand River system.
There are no specific Flood Warnings or Watches for the river systems (Eramosa and Speed Rivers) running through Guelph at this time.
That being said, normal high flow rates (typical of this time of year) are being noted, but there have been no reports of flooding. If we do get the 10-20mm of rain expected in the next 24-48 hrs, the situation may change. Staff will advise accordingly.
