Staff memo.
This e-mail is to advise you that we are beginning a pilot program on Saturday December 7th to have the Tourism Services desk open on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. This is being done in recognition of the needs of tourists and other visitors who are looking for information outside of regular City Hall hours. We are reallocating existing staff resources to cover these hours, and no additional staff, overtime or budget will be required.
We are piloting these additional hours during the winter months when the ice rink is open and also in the hopes of catching Farmers’ Market patrons. We will monitor numbers of visitors each Saturday to then determine if we should open the desk on Saturdays on a permanent basis.  Staff
