Further to the attached media release, this e-mail is to provide you with information on the University of Guelph’s bid to host the 2016 Canada 55+ Games. Through our regional Sports Tourism Initiative, which is funded in part by the City of Guelph’s Tourism budget, we have supported this bid going forward.
City tourism staff will be going to Alberta at the end of August, along with University of Guelph staff, to make the formal presentation.
