150 Wellington St E – Applications

A message from Tricar.

Just wanted to take this opportunity to advise that we at The Tricar Group have now made Zoning and preliminary Site Plan applications for our property located at 150 Wellington St in downtown Guelph (the former Marsh Tire site).

As you may know, Riverhouse Condominiums which is currently under construction at the corner of Macdonell and Woolwich has been extremely successful and we want to build upon the positive momentum it has created with this next project.

The proposed development at 150 Wellington is planned to be an 18 Storey mixed use condominium with a larger complement of commercial/retail uses at the base of the building along Wellington. We have also worked with the City (and continue to do so) in order to make provisions for an active transportation link for cyclists and pedestrians that connects Wellington St to the lands to the northwest and ultimately to Guelph Central Station. We have also worked with City officials to ensure that this development does not preclude the future development of City owned lands adjacent to the property as well as lands owned privately in the immediate area.

As was the case with Riverhouse, exceptional urban design, energy efficiency, and ensuring that the development fits within the fabric of the downtown and community as a whole, are all major components of this proposal. We look forward to working with the City, the public, and all stakeholders involved in order to create another development that complements the downtown and plays a major role in the resurgence of the core.  JC
