This email is to confirm to you that Guelph Transit staff did provide the Central Student Association with notice of our wish to renegotiate the terms of the CSA agreement during the summer of 2009 AND to correct our comment about the notice period for cancelling this agreement.

Please show leadership with a continuing ‘long term target’ at the forefront in decision-making respecting matters that impact the successful realization of the ‘community energy plan’ and also the tremendous challenge of getting to the paradigm-shift of a 10% modal split for transit in our community.

I am writing to let you know that I am very concerned about the possibility of the cancellation of the U of G Universal Bus Pass. I am currently working on a PhD in Literature at the school right now and, as I’m sure you know, university has become prohibitively expensive for many Canadians.

As an alternate suggestion, why not consider a 5% increase in bus fares for all including student passes and eliminate the free parking but only put the meter rate to 50% of what it was before it cancelled.
