I am writing to you this morning to share my thoughts on what I believe is a very important issue facing council in it’s budget deliberations. The 2 hour free parking that has been in effect for the last year or so is an excellant program that has benefitted all downtown merchants. I have received many unsolicited positive comments on the program and I would urge you to vote to keep it in place particularly since our downtown seen many roadblocks in getting our customers to us in the form of the construction projects that will be ongoing into next year.
My fellow merchants are trying to deal with the construction issues and to take away the 2 hour parking at this critical juncture would be counter-productive and just plain unfair.I urge you to vote to keep the 2 hour downtown parking program in the current budget.SC
