Open call to audition for John Galt Day community stage

The City of Guelph is hosting open auditions and pitch sessions on Wednesday, June 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. at City Hall for the John Galt Day community stage.
Individuals and groups are encouraged to provide lively and family friendly auditions or pitch sessions including, but not limited to, music, comedy, drama, and dance. Auditions are five minutes in length, including set up. Access to social media sites, such as Youtube and Facebook is available at the auditions; however, technical assistance is not provided. Selected entertainers will perform on the community stage during the John Galt Day festivities on a volunteer basis.
“We’re eager to present a wide variety of performances on John Galt Day to showcase the breadth of talent in Guelph”, said Danna Evans, Interim General Manager of Culture and Tourism.
John Galt Day takes place on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Market Square, Carden Street. The free family civic event celebrates Guelph’s founder John Galt by bring community members together for outdoor activities and entertainment.
