Please allow a moment of your busy time for the attached letter and report from the City of London. As many of you know we have been struggling with the many problems that arise primarily from student housing in the south end. The letter is a response to a recent report from CDES. We find the foot-dragging and constant quest for the same information to be nothing short of a delaying tactic. In the City of London report there is a wealth of information, recommendations and bylaw measures that could easily be incorporated for our city’s use in mitigating problems that have already occurred and that will inevitably occur if the city allows the proliferation of unregulated student rentals.
