2013 Guelph Community Santa Parade – this Sunday !

Entertainment, jiving and a little bit of satire….
Over 50 floats, bands and marchers will entertain Downtown Guelph this Sunday at the annual Community Santa Parade. Taking place on Sunday 17th November at 1.30pm, the parade has been winding its way through historic downtown Guelph for decades.

You can find the parade route map HERE.

Historically the parade has been organized by a service club, namely The Kinsmen.

Now run by the Downtown Guelph Business Association, remaining Kinsmen, along with over 100 other volunteers will get floats in line on the day, keep the crowds safe, or don costumes and entertain the thousands of spectators.

The Guelph Food Bank will kick off the parade at 1.30pm and collect those non-perishable items.

With them you’ll find Canada Post collecting those letters to Santa.

Entries to look out for on Sunday include an enormous pink Cadillac with a rock ‘n’ roll entourage, a cycling snow queen, festive insects, dancing shepherds, and the abominable snowman making a meal out of disgraced politicians.

Join us on Sunday for entertainment, jiving and a little bit of satire.
