The Operations Annual Curb Side Leaf Collection Program will commence on November 15th . The program is scheduled to run for approximately 7days, Monday through Friday. There will be 5 five crews working simultaneously in 5 areas of the city. All leaves will be collected and brought to the Waste Resource Innovation Centre, where they will be re-handled by our contractor who will dispose of them appropriately, (but not land filled).
Additionally, the Roads and Right of Ways Winter Control Program will begin on November 15th. We will have a skeleton crew working 24 hrs a day Monday through Friday, and on standby on weekends, to deal with any premature winter activity which may occur. Full winter rotating shifts for Roads Staff is scheduled to commence on November 29th with staff working 24 hours per day, 7 days a week until the completion of the winter season….March 2011. Staff.
