I would like to introduce myself to you as the Community Development Coordinator for the Guelph Blood Donor Clinic (130 Silvercreek Parkway, North). Recently, our team got together and started to brain storm around events in our community regarding the 2014 Olympics. We have many local Olympic athletes who will be competing in this years events and as a sports orientated clinic, we want to ensure that all our athletes receive the encouragement to succeed and do their best.
For the 2014 SOCHI competition, we are holding special clinics for sport enthusiasts like yourself to come donate blood and watch the Olympics from the comfort of a leather chair and a juice of your choice. We ask that you promote the enclosed poster to your networks and see if you can get a group together to support the SOCHI Olympics while supporting patients from our community needing blood transfusions for cancer and heart surgery treatment.
As always, our clinic staff will take pictures and promote through social media (Twitter, facebook etc) that your club/organization attended the clinic and participated in blood donation. As
your Canadian Blood Services’ local contact, I would be more than happy to help you book appointments, provide you materials to help answer questions about donating blood and its benefits for patient treatment plans.
