Solar Power Project Derailed

Plans for a new solar power project in Guelph have been delayed – possibly indefinitely – due to objections from Guelph Junction Railway. Sunpark had planned to install a solar tracker outside their offices on Speedvale Avenue in order to promote solar power in Guelph and to support Guelph’s Community Energy Plan.  Read more.

Off-peak power for to save City up to $185,000 annually

On November 1, the City of Guelph began a one-year agreement with Shell Energy to purchase off-peak electricity to power Guelph’s street lights.
