Children's Charter of Rights and Freedoms

On April 16th, 2007 City Council passed a resolution to adopt the Wellington Dufferin Guelph Children’s Charter. As part of that resolution Mayor Farbridge added that the Charter would be signed by each Mayor, thus renewing the adoption by every Council.

Through adoption, Mayor Farbridge and Council made a commitment that the City of Guelph will make this a living document. When making recommendations and decisions use this Charter as a touch stone, that you are doing your part to ensure the wellbeing of children in Guelph!

Please find attached an electronic copy of the Children’s Charter for reference and keep an eye open for the Charter to be posted in public facilities soon.     NK
