Gold stars go to council for having a great attendance record last year. Most councillors only missed one or two council meetings. There were 35 held throughout the year.
Councillors Vicki Beard, Ian Findlay and Leanne Piper had perfect council attendance.
Coun. Kathleen Farrelly missed the most council meetings, but still ended up with an attendance record of about 87 per cent.
Mayor Karen Farbridge attended 115 meetings in total last year, that includes those for both council and standing committees. Following closely behind was Coun. June Hofland (112) and Coun. Bob Bell (109).
The reason Hofland and Bell have such high numbers was because they attended additional committee meetings where they were participant observers rather than voting members.
