Guelph Art Project + Social Experiment Spreads a Message of Love

Spoken word artist and Guelph resident Livingston Lacroix knows how difficult it is to fight against depression. Livingston developed the concept for a self-funded one-year art project and social experiment entitled You Are LOVED.

The project aims to get people to spread this message of love by posting photos of their “you are loved” stickers on Instagram or sending in their photos in via email. The photos appear on the project website — youarelovedproject.ca — and updated each time someone adds a new photo with the hashtag, #YouAreLovedCA. Stickers can be purchased on the site for a small fee to propel the project.

You are LOVED officially launches on Valentine’s Day 2014 and runs until Valentine’s Day 2015. The launch party will be open to the public and will be held on Friday February 14 th 2014 at The eBar (41 Quebec St, Guelph). The event is FREE to the public and features a breathtaking performance of “Beautiful” by drag artist Miss Drew. Bellydancing icon Ishra will also perform, plus a spoken word performance by BethAnne Ellipsis.
