Guelph Hydro to send crews to assist in restoration efforts

Guelph Hydro will be sending repair crews, bucket trucks and other equipment to assist Long Island Energy in New York with emergency power restoration efforts.
The Guelph Hydro contingent of six power line workers, a line supervisor and the Guelph Hydro Director of Operations will be heading out on Saturday and expect to be responding to the desperate need for help for about two weeks. They will be joining a convoy of power workers from several other local utilities who will be helping to restore power safely and as quickly as possible to customers on Long Island who have been without power since Hurricane Sandy devastated the northeast coast of the US.
