I just wanted to give you an update on what Public Works staff is monitoring during the ongoing storm tonight.
I can report that we have our community responders on duty tonight. I have spoken to the Community Responder and he reported to me just minutes ago that there are very few incidents. He is attending to a flashing traffic signal at the corner of Dublin and Wellington but it is assessed as low impact. He also mentioned that power was out in the downtown area, but only for a short period and it is now back up. Finally, there have been very few calls from our 24hr call centre.
The system appears to have moved around to the South of the City and the worst appears to be over for now. Staff
