We are excited to let you know that the City of Guelph, Guelph Hydro and Guelph Environmental Leadership (GEL) are hosting a second annual Guelph Lights Out Relay on March 31st 2012!
Participation in the event last year made a difference. Guelph residents almost doubled their commitment to cutting electricity. This involvement was equivalent to taking 1,300 homes off the power grid during the hour. Let’s keep the momentum building!
We would like to invite you to take part in this year’s Earth Hour and Guelph Lights Out Relay:
– Click on www.guelphgig.ca to pledge your support for Earth Hour
– Register to run or walk a section of the 60km community relay route through the city at www.guelphgig.ca (below is the route which runs through every Ward)
– Join us at the launch in downtown Guelph on March 31st at 11:45am to show your support for the Community Energy Initiative and to send off the first relay participantsWe need your help to put Guelph on the map as a conservation leader!
