The Wolfond Park Neighbourhood is pleased to announce that the outdoor skating rink is open. After a chilly night flooding last evening, it looks like we can now go skating.
I was out yesterday afternoon skating with my kids on the Speed River behind the River Run Centre. Great ice. Thanks to Bob Bell and Stan Kozak for their efforts.
Speaking with a staff person this morning, rinks are now open at Riverside Park, Sunny Acres Park and St. George’s Park. Apparently one of the best outdoor rinks is McAllister Park off of Kortright in the south end. Boards have been erected and lines demarcated for hockey.
