Pollination Guelph Plants Demonstration Garden to Attract Native Bees, Butterflies and Birds

Envida Community Energy, an affiliate of Guelph Hydro, is partnering with Pollination Guelph to provide funding for plants to create pollinator-friendly gardens in the community. The first garden, one of three to be located on the grounds of Guelph Hydro’s head office on Southgate Drive, was planned and designed by Pollination Guelph volunteers and uses native plant species to create an ideal habitat for pollinators.

Envida Community Energy is developing sustainable community energy projects (solar, district energy, combined heat and power and bioenergy) that will support the goals of the Guelph Community Energy Initiative and attract jobs and investment in the City of Guelph. The company plans to provide space for pollination gardens on the premises of any of its future sustainable energy projects.
