A decision was made by staff on Saturday to close Speedvale Avenue from Victoria Road to Stevenson Street due to unsafe road conditions caused by inclement weather. With weather warnings for the next 3 days indicating extensive rain and winds, keeping the road open would make the condition of the road worse. A detour route has been put in place and will remain in place until the Contractor is able to access the site and improve road conditions.
Victoria Road from MacAlister Blvd to Arkell Road, the road conditions are poor with a number of potholes. The road is closed from Victoria East Golf Course to Arkell Road.
Alice Street is in a Granular condition and same state as Speedvale and Victoria.
