There is a movement in town to finally get a community arts & music centre into operation. The intention is that this centre would house a few different sized performance spaces, arts & music studios, workshop/teaching rooms, rehearsal spaces, offices, a licensed café, and the offices of all Guelph arts & music organizations. It could be the home of our singalong!
A group has formed to steer this process and is tentatively called GAP (Guelph Arts Platform). A few buildings are available and we are moving quickly to assess the real needs of the arts & music community in order to assess how much space and funds we can be responsible for.
This is where you come in. We need to hear from every person and group who might use this space in some way – from occasional rentals to regular occupancy.
