I’m sorry that I didn’t get a chance to speak with you each before the end of tonight’s event to thank you in person, but I wanted to say how grateful I am that you were willing to come out tonight and give your time to our River Run volunteer appreciation event. Many of the volunteers who spoke with me specifically mentioned how touched they were that the staff and members of Council were serving them – I think that the personal touch was greatly appreciated.
