Transition Guelph Sustainable Builder's forum

Event notice.

Below are the details for our upcoming Transition Guelph Sustainable Builder’s forum on March 29th. Here’s a link to the event Resilient Buildings and Communities. We’re hoping to have a provocative discussion regarding the tension between preserving heritage building stock while also meeting the need for densification (through urban infill) and carbon reduction (through deep energy retrofits). What should be saved? What adaptive re-use strategies are appropriate? What should guide us as we tackle the challenges of retrofitting our heritage stock to meet 21st century operational needs?

We have invited Stephen Robinson, Ben Barclay and Ian Findlay. David McAuley will also be there. It would fantastic if you could join us also.

Details:
When: Saturday, March 29 – 1:30 pm to 4:15 pm
Where: St. George’s Church – Florence McKinnon Room *
Please pass the invite to others that would be interested in joining the discussion.
Also, David McAuley and I will be presenting on “Resilient and Healthy Buildings” on Thurs March 27 – 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at 10 Carden. Please spread the word.  RB
