Just a quick note to alert you to the weather ahead of us tonight and tomorrow;
We are expecting a short bout of freezing rain early tomorrow morning followed by increasing temperatures, a bit of snow and then straight rain. The next 24 to 48 hours may be a bit tricky weather wise, thus making mobility challenging.
I would like to assure everyone that Public Works crews are ready and waiting for the precipitation to arrive. We have re-stocked all of our city sand boxes and replenished our brine storage supplies after applying anti-icing liquid to our bridge decks and known trouble areas this evening and tonight. The arterial, collector and bus routes still have residual salt from our last application last night (following the snow dusting we had) and are primed for this precipitations arrival.
