Read below to find out what’s happening this month at Exhibition Park Neighbourhood Group in the month of February, 2008.
Family Gym Night
Friday, February 8th, 2008
…….at GCVI (at the corner of Yorkshire Road and Paisley Street). We will play hockey, basketball, volleyball etc in the big gym for any one that wants to participate — kids and adults. Game, activities and costumes will be up in the small gym just for toddlers, preschoolers and caregivers!
Drop in for a short while or st
ay for the whole evening between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. There is no cost for this event and it is a great opportunity to play and connect with families and friends in the community. Remember to bring indoor shoes to ware in the gym. Enter through the door at the back of the Yorkshire Street parking lot. Here are the dates for all the gym nights so you can mark them on your calendar: February 9th, 2008 – March 28th, 2008 – April 11th, 2008 – May 9th, 2008 and June 13th, 2008.

NEW PROGRAM!!!! — ADULT PICK-UP BASKETBALL
The gym at GCVI is booked Friday nights (see dates below) in February from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for this new program of Adult pick-up basketball: February 15th, February 22, and February 29th, 2008.
Action Read Reading Program
This free reading program includes stories, snacks and fun. The program runs Wednesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the upper viewing area of Exhibition Park arena. Space is limited, so call 519-836-2759 for availability.
We are also looking into starting a coffee morning, one morning a week at the arena and could use some help in planning and setting up. We would like to have this morning open to everyone to just drop in, and have some great conversation with your friends and neighbours and discuss what you would like to see for your neighbourhood.
