CELEBRATE MUSIC, ART AND CRAFTSÂ AT THE GUELPH YOUTH MUSIC CENTRE
The Guelph Youth Music Centre invites you to a free fun-filled community arts festival on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.
Kidsfest is a great opportunity to experience 3 hours of live performances including the Funky Mamas, Tir Na Nog Irish dance, a Chinese Lion Dance, Adrian Raso and his Frets class, and the GYMC Kids Chorus and String Orchestra.
Demonstrations by various music schools and instructors including Suzuki, Orff, the Guelph Youth Singers and Music Together will give children the chance to explore many styles of music and dance in a casual setting.
Other activities include face painting, hands-on arts and crafts and creating with clay.
Displays include a collection of unique heritage musical instruments.
We will have bar-b-qued snacks and cold drinks for sale.
Kidsfest is a unique annual arts festival that will capture the interest of children of all ages and can be enjoyed by everyone in the community. All activities will take place at the Guelph Youth Music Centre, 75 Cardigan St., Guelph.
