First and foremost, we want to say a great big THANK YOU for moving ahead so quickly and efficiently with the pesticide ban. We’re householders who’ve never used pesticides but who live on a street where “Danger Pesticide” signs are as much a sign of spring as robins and daffodils. We’re very concerned about all the chemicals polluting our environment so we really appreciate that you placed this issue at the top of Council’s list of priorities for the new term and acted on it so decisively. BRAVO!!

Traffic at Woodlawn and Woolwich
For many years the residents at 19, 21 and 23 Woodlawn Road have had difficulties accessing Woodlawn Road safely. Poor initial lane design, numerous entrances into the Canadian Tire plaza and a huge increase in traffic from the new Wal-Mart, have made the situation even worse. Staff are working to help resolve this and a report is forthcoming. Below is a notification sent to local residents.
New Tim Hortons at Woodlawn and Victoria
A new Tim Hortons donut shop is proposed for the corner of Woodlawn Road and Victoria Street. A committee of adjustment hearing is needed for a variance to the parking requirements. A constituent writes:
We would like to register our objection to the variance from bylaw requirements that has been requested for the construction of a new Tim Horton’s in the plaza at Victoria and Woodlawn.
