South End Recreational Facilities

I have been following the newspaper articles regarding the south end of Guelph and their desire to have a recreational facility build before 2013.

Other areas need things as well. The west end of Guelph had to wait until the appointed time before they got a recreational facility and a supermarket, the east end of Guelph is in desperate need of a suitable site to purchase groceries and other items.

I understand that the taxes generated by the homes build in the south end are high, however that is the price you pay for having large homes. Large homes everywhere are highly taxed.

Please do not permit the taxpayers of the south end dictate if and when the structures are built in our fair city. I believe we must stick with the plan.

We did after all get a Wal-Mart at the north end of the city because the south end did not want it in their back yard. If I am to be thankful for that, I must confess I am not as we on Woolwich Street have great difficulty pulling out of our driveways because of the increased traffic flow.          BP
