A huge thank you to Chief Shawn Armstrong, Chief Rob Davis, City Officials and all the hard working men and women who worked tirelessly to save what could be saved of the historical facades. There are three buildings involved with the fire of April 6, 2007

“Tyrannical” Pesticide By-law
I am outraged at the direction the city council is taking on the pesticide bylaw. The proposed bylaw is tyrannical and capricious, and I’m sick of the approach. The process being used is far worse than the bylaw. We had a huge public debate on this last time, and this time it is just being […]
Property Standards in the City of Guelph
Councillors regularly recieve letters from residents concerned about the condition of neighbouring properties. These include the accumulation of garbage, abandoned machinery, unsafe conditions and unkempt lawns. What can you do about this? Leash free fenced-in park in Guelph?
A constituent has recently written in requesting that a dedicated leash free fenced-in dog park be established in the City of Guelph. What do you think? Is there a need in Guelph for such an area? A brief special meeting of Council immediately prior to the regular meeting on April 16th will take place, at which time Council […]
Idling By-law
Councillors have received a number of requests to revisit the idling by-law in Guelph. One of the obstacles to this is the City operated buses idling in the downtown. There have been some complications to this as the buses need to run in order to operate doors and ventilation. Staff is working on this problem and a more […]
Ingram Park on Simmons Drive
Guelph City Councillors receive a number of letters, phone calls and emails each day asking a variety of questions. Many of these inquiries may be of interest to other residents of Ward 2 and our city. I was wondering what was going to happen with the park on Simmons Drive in the North end of Guelph? As […]
