I think that I can speak for the arts community and the voluntary sector generally in offering City Council and Staff our heartfelt congratulations on dealing with a very challenging budget scenario in a most creative and thoughtful fashion.

In light of recent budgetary discussions, I am writing to advocate for the protection of Guelph Arts Council (GAC) funding. I have had the opportunity to work with the GAC multiple times over the past decade, which has illustrated to me their multifaceted and fundamental effectiveness.
