Mr. Findlay, I recently heard that you had suggested getting rid of the Sidewalk plows in an attempt to deal with Transit costs and scheduling issues. I must say that I was surprised by your suggestion and thought you might want to rethink this one. I certainly oppose such an idea given that I witness many seniors getting their excersise through walking and to remove this in central walking route would be a very bad idea. School areas and primary walking routes are important to the health and wellbeing of the community and a safety issue for many. I sincerely hope that getting rid of the sidewalk snow plows is not something that you will promote at City Council.
